Quickbooks integration allows our system to send gift card and voucher transaction information to your online quickbooks account. To do this you'll first need a quickbooks account. And you'll need to confirm that the account names and numbers on the settings screen.
To interface with Quickbooks you first need to provide authentication information:
To setup each account you mush provide the account name and the account number to the system. This is how quickbooks identifies them and the system will create the account if it does not exist.
When a gift card purchase happens it is recorded as a liability.
This account is when money on gift cards are spent by the customer the money is recorded as revenue.
Should a gift card be returned without any charges on it we need to record that return.
Promotional gift cards are generally considered expenses. However, to make the double entry book keeping work you need to setup a contra account since a promotional gift card are not really liabilities.
Promotional gift card contra account to balance out the use of promotional gift cards.
Issued promotioanl gift card account for gift cards that are issued. This is offset by the contra account.
Promotional gift card redeem account to record redeemed promotional gift cards.
Account to record and track issued vouchers that were purchased.
Account to record and track redeemed vouchers.
Contra account for double entry book keeping for promotional vouchers.
Account for issued promoitonal vouchers.

This platform integrates with quickbooks online. Any times there is a gift card or voucher transaction the transaction sent to the server.
This feature is completely optional. Set it up only if you need it.
