The api's are designed to to process trancations for gift cards, vouchers, and loyalty programs. The affiliate marketing platform is designed to serve ads. What the api's don't do is anything that the administrator functionality is capable of. So you need to use the merchant portal to do administration of your account on this platform.
No, The staff accounts are available if you wish to not use the the api and just want to use the merchant portal to process transactions on the platform. If you integrate this platform with your POS system or website you just need the API Key, and the organization ID to process transactions. You can optionally provide a Cashier number and a location ID to your calls in the POS API. That will give you additional tracking.
The template editor is designed to provide designs of vouchers and gift cards. You can design your own gift cards and vouchers and upload them. However, with vouchers some features are required to be added to the vouchers for processing. A QR code for instance and CCV number fields is necessary.
